ROCKVILLE, MD - On March 13, Congressman Jamie Raskin (MD-08), hosted a virtual information session with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on the 2023 tax filing season. Congressman Raskin was joined by Veronica Tubman, the senior stakeholder liaison at the IRS and Wendy Figueroa, Maryland’s Acting Local Taxpayer Advocate.

 

In a virtual presentation, Ms. Tubman and Ms. Figueroa provided updates, information and resources regarding the 2023 tax filing season. Ms. Tubman and Ms. Figueroa also answered questions from constituents in a question-and-answer session moderated by Rep. Raskin's Senior Casework Manager Erica Fuentes. Rep. Raskin's guests explained that for many inquiries, taxpayers can find answers and resources at the IRS website, irs.gov.
