(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Last night Congressman Jamie Raskin (MD-08) underwent successful hernia repair surgery at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring. It lasted 50 minutes. He is in very good spirits and resting at the hospital and is planning to return to work this week.

“Holy Cross is a great hospital and I am very grateful to the excellent doctors and nurses here,” Raskin said. “I am also grateful to my family, friends, colleagues and constituents who have taken good care of me and sent me kind messages.”
