Rockville, MD – On February 15, 2023 Congressman Jamie Raskin (MD-08), hosted a virtual event to celebrate Maryland’s Eighth District U.S. Service Academy nominees for the class of 2027.

Rep. Raskin praised and encouraged each Service Academy nominee and shared words of support with their families. This year 30 students from across the Eighth District received a prestigious Service Academy nomination from Congressman Raskin. The Service Academies that receive Congressman Raskin’s nominations are: the U.S. Military Academy (USMA) or West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA).
