(ROCKVILLE, M.D.) – Congressman Jamie Raskin (MD-08) today announced the 8th District winners of the 2020 Congressional Art Competition for high school students. This year’s winner, “Mastery” by Chunlin An of Walt Whitman High School, will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year. Seventeen second-place honorees will have their artwork displayed in Rep. Raskin’s Capitol Hill and Rockville offices: Alex Li (Alone); Aurea Sellmeyer (Time); Devon Elliot (Yellowstone Pen and Ink Landscape); Gisselle Arias (Lost in Sound); Grace Tang (My Dog); Henry Haddon (Quiet Solitude); Isabella Khoury (Sammy); Jared Fischer (Balance); Jennifer Li (Hidden Faces); Jiahe Jin (A Pinch of Love); Julie Solonsky (Fireflies); Lillian Broeksmit (Ethereal Glow); Lily Chung (Warped Lenses); Lindsay Gaiser (Sea Turtle Composite); Mikayla Castaldi (Torn); Nadine Vos (Green Apples and Drinks); and Yunshu (Peter) Qiu (Two Wolves).
