(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, Congressman Jamie Raskin (MD-08) joined Rep. Conor Lamb (PA-17) and a group of bipartisan House Members in sending a letter to House leadership urging them to prioritize funding in the next Coronavirus stimulus package to ensure healthcare workers, first responders and those on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic have the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

“Right now, there is not enough personal protective equipment for first responders and health care workers who are on the front lines protecting all of us,” said Lamb.  “Local organizations and first responders need to be able procure this equipment, and they need to know the federal government will guarantee the funds to support them.  There is no time to waste.”

In addition, the letter was signed by Representatives Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1), Madeleine Dean (PA-4), Chrissy Houlahan (PA-6), Guy Reschenthaler (PA-14),  Mike Doyle (PA-18), Max Rose (NY-11), Mikie Sherill (NJ-11), Elissa Slotkin (MI-8), Jared Golden (ME-2), Elaine Luria (VA-2), Gil Cisneros (CA-39), Jason Crow (CO-6), Jamie Raskin (MD-8), Joe Cunningham (SC-1) and Cherie Bustos (IL-17).
